Raising Cane’s to open in Mo Val

Raising Cane’s, the fast-food chain that specializes in chicken fingers, will open in Moreno Valley.

The restaurant, now under construction at 12625 Frederick St. in the Towngate Center, is expected to be ready for business later this year, according to a statement on the city’s website.

It will be the chain’s first location in Moreno Valley and 12th in the Inland Empire.

“As a patron myself, I’m thrilled to welcome Raising Cane’s to Moreno Valley,” said Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez in the statement. “They value active community partnership and involvement, as well as provide a large number of local jobs.”

Based in Baton Rouge, La., the privately held company was founded in 1996. It has more than 530 restaurants in 28 states and the Middle East, with multiple restaurants under construction, according to the company’s website.
