Arlette Garibay has been promoted to sales director at the Ontario Convention Center and the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The former sales manager, who began working in the convention center’s event sales department in 2007, will oversee all sales efforts for both entities, according to a statement released by the visitor’s bureau.
“We are proud to recognize a talented employee and promote from within,” said Shannon Perry, the convention center’s general manager, in the statement. “Arlette has always excelled in sales thru her vibrant personality and client services.”
Born in Mexico and raised in Los Angeles, Garibay is a graduate of Fontana High School. She attended Riverside City College and managed several Black Angus restaurants in Southern California before joining the convention center, according to the statement.
