Colina scores strong financial rating

Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare has been given an A-rating by Standard & Poors.

The Pomona nonprofit has a “strong capacity” to meet its financial commitments based on the Standard & Poors global rating scale, the hospital said in a statement Tuesday.

“This S&P rating is an independent validation that Casa Colina is managing this organization at the highest levels, and our community can be confident that we will be clinically and financially viable long into the future,” said Felice Loverso, the hospital’s president and chief executive officer, in the statement.
Founded in 1938, Casa Colina is a 221-bed facility that provides medical, surgical, and rehabilitative care for people with disabilities It also has a research institute, adaptive recreation program, and several residency programs.

Standard & Poors is a top credit rating agency that reports on debt carried by private and public companies.
