Moreno Valley cable television wins national award

Moreno Valley’s media and communications division has been recognized for its cable television production.

The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors recently presented the city with awards in four government programming categories: overall excellence in government programming, public service announcement, intern production and instructional/training videos, according to a statement on the city’s website.

“Our media and communications division provides outstanding service and vital media content to the Moreno Valley community,” said Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez in the statement. “It’s particularly gratifying to see their hard work recognized on the national stage.”

NATOA is a non-profit that helps local governments and regional authorities nationwide develop, regulate and administer their cable television stations and other telecommunications systems.

The association is made up of individuals and organizations who are responsible for local government communications policies throughout the United States, according to the statement.
