The Palm Springs City Council will hold a special meeting Saturday to discuss the city’s goals and priorities.
The virtual meeting, which will be closed to the public except for the public comment section, will also address expectations for the city manager, according to a statement on the city’s website.
“The goal of establishing clear priorities is to ensure that the city manager is accountable to make progress on the most important items first, even if lower priority items receive less attention,” said City Manager Justin Clifton in the statement.
The staff has polled residents, board commissions, and staff to get more information on priority areas, and council members have been interviewed by the Centre for Organization Effectiveness, a San Diego consulting firm that works with public agencies.
A representative from that group will present its findings during the meeting.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Residents are invited to participate in a public comment via zoom by visiting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84792764916?pwd=bnpPVDFIZGo4NzRUUmwwd3ZWaUhPZz09.
