Palm Springs reopens swim center

The Palm Springs Swim Center reopened Wednesday, nine days after it was shut down because of the surge in Omicron-related COVID-19 cases.

Pool hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., seven days a week with reservations required from 7 a.m. – noon, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Drop-ins are accepted starting at 1 p.m. The facility is at 405 S. Pavilion Way.

Other Palms Springs facilities remain closed to walk-in traffic. The following changes remain in effect and will be reevaluated as more pandemic data comes available:

  • City clerk, planning, engineering, building, business license and other services are available by phone call, or email. Appointments will be considered for work that cannot reasonably be done by phone or email from 8 a.m to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
  • Palm Springs Public Library is closed to the public, but it’s still offering its Library-A-Go-Go Program, and the parks and recreation department is offering outdoor programming only.
