Texas Roadhouse, a steakhouse chain with more than 590 locations nationwide, is coming to Moreno Valley.
The dinner-only restaurant is expected to open early next year in a former Outback Steakhouse at TownGate Plaza, according to Progressive Real Estate Partners in Rancho Cucamonga.
Progressive represented the property owner, Fritz Duda Co., a real estate investment firm in Dallas, in the lease negotiations.
Texas Roadhouse, which operates restaurants in Corona, Menifee, Hesperia and Rialto, signed a 15-year lease on the property at 22680 Centerpoint Drive and will occupy 7,500 square feet there.
Further lease details were not disclosed.
Olive Garden, Chili’s, BJ’s Brewhouse, Starbucks and Yogurtland are already located at TownGate Plaza, which is next to the Pomona Freeway. Buffalo Spot, a chicken wings restaurant, is expected to locate there.
Macy’s, JC Penney, Costco, Aldi, Burlington, Ross, 24 Hr. Fitness and Lowes are nearby.
Based in Louisville, Texas Roadhouse was founded in Indiana in 1993. Its restaurants average about 5,000 guests a week, and the chain serves about 300,000 meals a day, according the company’ website.
Each restaurant incudes a tribute to country singer-songwriter Willie Nelson, an early investor in the chain, and a mural that pays tribute to the local community, according to the website.
