Cardenas Markets will give away more than $850,000 in prizes in the 2022 version of its Loteria Scratcher Sweepstakes.
That’s a $100,000 increase from last year, according to a statement released by the Ontario-based Hispanic supermarket chain.
This year’s game began April 20 and is scheduled to end June 14. It will be played in all 59 Cardenas locations.
“Loteria, also known as Mexican bingo, is the epitome of cultural authenticity, and we are excited to bring such an iconic game back in a bigger and bolder way,” said Adam Salgado, Cardenas Markets’ chief marketing officer, in the statement.
Prizes include an Apple watch, Apple Air Pods Pro, $200 Cardenas gift cards and home electronic items.
Cardenas, one of the largest Hispanic grocery store chains in the United States, operates 52 stores Cardenas Markets and seven named Cardenas Ranch Markets, according to the statement.
