Moreno Valley has been recognized for its procurement services.
The city recently received a 2022 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement award from the non-profit National Procurement Institute, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Moreno Valley was one of 73 entities in the United States and Canada to receive the award, which is given to public and nonprofit agencies.
This is the fifth consecutive year the city has won the award.
“Awards like the AEP demonstrate the professionalism and dedication of our Moreno Valley staff,” said Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez in the statement. “Every department had a hand in achieving this distinction.”
The award acknowledges outstanding performance in bidding, soliciting offers, making purchases and developing initiatives that help improve a community, according to the statement.
