Riverside Public Utilities has been recognized by the American Public Power Association for its “All Day Every Day” marketing campaign.
The campaign, which shows how the city’s utilities department works constantly to ensure Riverside residents and businesses have water and power, recently received the association’s Award of Excellence in Public Power Communications, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Messages in English and Spanish went to 112,000 metered electric and 66,000 metered water customers. The content was also shown on Riverside’s social media accounts.
“Riverside Public Utilities takes great pride in providing safe and reliable water and electric service to our ratepayers,” said Todd Corbin the department’s general manager, in the statement. “This award reflects our commitment to also ensuring our customers know the many ways in which [department] employees are working on their behalf.”
The awards were presented to agencies that showed ingenuity and creativity in telling their stories. RPU’s award was for excellence in the web/social media category, according to the statement.
