Mt. San Jacinto College will dedicate a STEM building later this month.
The three-story structure at 1499 N. State St. covers nearly 49,000 square feet and includes classrooms, laboratories and other items needed to teach STEM classes, according to a statement released by the school.
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education. It is designed to help students succeed in college professionally.
The new building will feature:
- 6,544 square feet of lecture halls;
- 23,199 square feet of laboratory space for biology, anatomy, physics, astronomy, microbiology, and chemistry instruction;
- Math labs, general study labs, and faculty offices.
