Riverside County is asking its residents to explain how the county should spend its tax dollars.
The budget priorities survey began recently and will remain open until March 2025, according to a statement on the county’s website.
It is available online in both English and Spanish. Participants may identify what they believe to be greater services in their areas, as well as spending categories that should receive more or less funding.
All county residents are encouraged to participate.
“The goal is to make our budget process more inclusive and responsive to the needs of our diverse communities,” said Supervisor Chuck Washington in the statement. “I’m excited to invite the community to help guide decisions that will impact the future of our region.”
The county will host five budget workshops throughout the county in early 2025.
