Riverside County veterans interested in starting a business will be able to get help from the Veteran Entrepreneurship Program, a five-month project scheduled to start March 15.
The program, which is also open to active-duty personnel and their immediate family members, is being provided by the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship, the Cal State San Bernardino School of Entrepreneurship and the Riverside County Office of Economic Development, according to a statement.
The five-month program is divided into two phases. The first phase workshops will cover mindset priming, problem ideation, validation, and market entry. The second phase will cover individual consulting, pitch competitions and specialized knowledge.
Instruction will be provided by school of entrepreneurship faculty.
“It’s an honor to empower our Veterans and service members by enhancing the skills they need to thrive as entrepreneurs,” said Kimberly Wright, economic development manager for the economic development office, in the statement. “Through this program, we express our gratitude for their service and sacrifice.”
