Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national, regional and local current events, as well as trends in the local real estate market. Ed delivers intelligent radio with unique, witty and irreverent flair.
The show opens with an audio from “Rocky,” the essential message that one needs to keep moving forward as you continuously take hits, and the importance of not blaming others for your own shortcomings. This sentiment resonates throughout most of the show and the importance of taking responsibility for successful and missed opportunities alike.
Ed shares with listeners a couple of life experiences that has made him the man he is today, one who did fall, but the saving grace was his propensity to continuously get back on his feet.
A listener wrote in to Ed criticizing his endorsement and “gushy support” of California Gubernatorial Candidate Neel Kashkari, in which Ed responds to him on-air. Tune in to hear how Ed dissects the listener’s email while providing support for his opinion.
For those of you who don’t believe that domestic terrorism will ever occur, Ed discusses two recent incidents that prove it has already manifested on American soil. A woman was beheaded this Thursday and Ed has choice words for the perpetrator, as well as the lack of mention from the administration and Attorney General Eric Holder. President Obama and Holder are oddly silent about this crime when in contrast they took liberties to condemn the officer-involved fatal shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO, so much so that Obama made mention of it in his speech to the United Nations.
Ed also discusses the alleged abduction of University of Virginia student Hannah Graham and the arrest of suspect Jesse Matthew, a black man. Where is all the commotion from the likes of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and our top law enforcer Eric Holder? Ed criticizes the state of racism in this country and the tendency for the “disadvantaged” to cast blame for their lack of success.
Catch Ed Hoffman, host of The Main Event, on air this Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with encore presentations at 9 p.m., and Sunday at 4 p.m.
