The San Bernardino County Transportation Authority has selected a construction company to complete the next portion of the Interstate 10 Mount Vernon Avenue Improvement Project.
The authority’s board of directors recently awarded a contract to Beador Construction Co., Inc. in Costa Mesa, according to a statement on the county’s website.
That contract followed a competitive bid process that involved two other firms. The contract is not to exceed $60.3 million.
The project’s initial phase, reconstruction of Mt. Vernon Avenue Bridge, was completed in August. It’s being paid for with revenue from Measure I, a local half-cent sales tax, and development impact fees generated by Colton, according to the statement.
