Adam French has been named Riverside County’s director for veterans services.
French, who served in the U.S. Army from 1993 through 2016, has worked with veterans services since February 2017, according to a statement on the county’s website.
“His experience in the military brings a sense of belonging to Adam’s extensive career in veterans services,” said Board Chair Karen Spiegel in the statement. “He knows firsthand the challenges our veterans deal with and he’s exactly the person to lead the department.”
French began as a senior representative, and was eventually named supervisor. In 2023, he became assistant director, and he recently served as the department’s interim director.
Veterans services’ helps with benefit claims, job searches, and business registration. It also provides programs that help veterans adjust to civilian life, according to the statement.
