Dr. Matthew Cappiello, has been appointed to the state Board of Naturopathic Medicine.
A Redlands resident, Cappiello is an attending physician at Loma Linda University Medical Center, according to a statement on Gov. Gavin Newsom’s official website.
During his seven years at the medical center, Cappiello has been assistant professor in infectious diseases and attending physician in internal medicine.
He was named an attending physician last year.
Cappiello is a member of the CTropMed Committee and Continuing Medical Education Committee at the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, the Gold Humanism Honor Society and the CAIR-CA Political Action Committee’s executive board.
Cappiello’s state board membership receives a $100 per diem and does not require Senate confirmation.
