San Bernardino County holds AB 98 meetings

San Bernardino County is holding community meetings regarding AB 98, the state’s guidelines for logistics development.

The sessions will focus on how the law is being implemented and enforced, according to a statement on the county’s website.

The meetings are being held by the county’s Land Use Services Department. The first set of meetings, which was completed last year, dealt with truck routes.

Gov. Gavin Newsom signed AB 98 into law in September 2024. It went into effect Jan. 1 of this year.

AB 98 establishes statewide standards for truck routes. Its goal is to keep trucks and warehouse-distribution centers away from homes, schools and other “sensitive areas,” according to the statement.
