Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national, regional and local current events, as well as trends in the local real estate market. Ed delivers intelligent radio with unique, witty and irreverent flair.
This week, Ed welcomes favorite guest Scott McAffee from Don’s Bicycles in Redlands and Rialto to discuss some of the recent events in national news and politics. They start by revisiting the issues mentioned in the State of the Union, including the President’s claims that the economy has recovered and his insane declaration that climate change is the biggest threat America faces. If you enjoy satirical political analysis, insightful criticism of the President’s policies and irreverent comments on Vice President Joe Biden, tune into this week’s show.
Of course, it’s critical to point out that this week, the President has topped himself in his unending quest to pander to the Muslim world. Ed and Scott spend the majority of the program dissecting the malady America faces thanks to a President that shows no interest in protecting Americans, specifically Christians, from being slandered or offended – but makes every effort to demonstrate to the Islamic community that he wishes to protect them from being defamed whenever he has the opportunity. This was even the case when the President responded to the savage murder of a Jordanian pilot at the hands of ISIS. Ed recalls a tweet he sent this week, one that called the President out for this very behavior. Listeners who want to see Ed’s stimulating political tweets can follow him on Twitter at @EdHoffman.
Part of the problem, Ed and Scott decide, is that the President has decided it’s the rest of America’s job to help Muslims feel at ease with their own religion. “It’s up to Islam to clean up its own mess,” Scott says. Ed agrees, “Let’s see a sign of your outrage,” Ed says. “Rise up and show us that you’re with us rather than against us.” Unfortunately, the President took it upon himself to devote a sizable portion of his National Prayer Breakfast speech this week to criticizing the Christian misdeeds of the Crusades 1,000 years ago, while glossing over the atrocities being committed by radical Islamic terrorists today. Echoing a tweet he posted this week, Ed says to the President, “Give me a sign that you’re a Christian.” To hear what Ed believes is the President’s true religious affiliation, tune into this week’s show.
