A 1.1-million-square-foot logistics center in Perris that will be occupied by General Mills Inc. is nearing completion.
The building, reportedly one of the largest warehouse-distribution operations built in the United States this year, is located north of the Ramona Expressway.
It’s expected to create 300 to 500 jobs once it’s ready for operation next summer. A 414,000-square-foot expansion is already under construction, according to the statement.
Minneapolis-based General Mills manufactures branded consumer foods that are sold in more than 100 countries worldwide. The company employs approximately 42,000 people, and sales in its 2015 fiscal year were $17.6 billion.
