Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national current events and politics, with a few mortgage tips along the way. Ed delivers intelligent, entertaining radio that makes hard news easy to understand!
This week is the Thanksgiving show, and Ed begins by reminding everyone that the holidays are still a great time to take advantage of real estate opportunities. Call him at Wholesale Capital Corporation in Moreno Valley if you’re interested! Next, it’s on to a Thanksgiving story many people aren’t familiar with – one that details how the pilgrims came very close to starving themselves shortly after arriving in Plymouth in 1621 and how they managed to rescue themselves from ruin two years later, resulting in the first Thanksgiving. If you haven’t yet heard this story and its ties to modern socialism vs. capitalism, tune in to The Main Event this week; it’s quite a revelation.
Next it’s on to talking about the week in politics, which was marked by a perceived “war on Muslims” according to the left-leaning media. From Donald Trump to Ben Carson to Marco Rubio, the Republican candidates are sounding off on their opinions regarding national security – and leftists in the media want to turn it into an anti-Muslim narrative. Ed plays those comments, as well as remarks from an Islamic activists who fears that “American Muslim internment camps are next.” To that, Ed says, “What a bunch of BS” – and to the activist’s claims that Republican presidential candidates don’t know the Constitution, he says, “You interpret the Constitution any way you want, depending on who you want in the White House.”
That’s a segue into the next chapter in the story of Ahmed Mohammed, who Ed reminds listeners is “a little 15-year-old punk who took apart a Radio Shack clock” and passed it off as an invention, prompting a teacher to call the police because she thought it was a bomb. Although the boy’s family now lives in the country of Qatar, they’re threatening to sue the city of Irving, Texas and the accompanying school district unless they get $15 million in damages. In response to the parent’s complaint that Ahmed was questioned without them present, Ed says, “I give you permission to make my kids obey the rules. Do you want the school to call you every time your kid does something off center?”
The show closes this week with a reminder of how the mortgage meltdown really happened seven years ago, and why it should matter to us now. Ed has insider information that reveals how the government was truly responsible, and he shares his expert insight as a mortgage expert that backs it up. Don’t miss it!
On this week’s show, you’ll also hear:
- A timeline of the university protests over the past month, and Ed’s amusing take – including what he calls the Claremont Colleges!
- Which local Congressman voted against HR 4038, and that representative’s insane comments about it.
- What lawyer, political commentator and pro-Israel activists Alan Dershowitz had to say about the ridiculous wave of protests across the college landscape.
