An Exercise in Deception

Over one week after Hillary Clinton’s interview on Fox News Sunday, people are still talking about it and analyzing her answers. I suppose it’s because they realize the interview exposes her habitual lying about matters of great importance – and, perhaps it’s because they’re legitimately bewildered that she is now claiming she simply “short circuited” in her responses because she and Chris Wallace were “talking over each other.” (Side note: “Short circuited?” Is she finally calling herself a robot?)

On my radio show last week, I pointed out that Hillary makes a habit of saying “I had every reason to believe” others were telling the truth, “I had every reason to believe” none of the emails I sent over my unsecured email sever were classified, and “I had every reason to believe” the terror attacks of September 11, 2012 were provoked by outrage over a YouTube video. Talk about deflecting blame. Next week, we’ll probably be talking about some other comments of hers, but the underlying tone will be the same: “I never lied to anyone, and if I did, it was someone else’s fault.”

I also pointed out that Hillary doesn’t understand what types of regulations American business people are up against. She rails against some of Donald Trump’s products being manufactured outside of the U.S., but as a business owner who has been impacted by government regulation, I understand why he does it. Maybe some of you do too.

Speaking of my radio show, some of you may have heard my interview with author, professor and conservative scholar Dinesh D’Souza, or perhaps you plan on attending the event with him and my friend Larry Elder at the Doubletree in Ontario this week. But if you haven’t yet familiarized yourself with Dinesh, I encourage you to do so; most importantly, you should see his new film “Hillary’s America,” which is a thrilling and eye-opening look at the history of the Democrat party. Surprisingly, it’s not all doom and gloom in the film and it’s “The movie is a lot of fun,” Dinesh says. “We didn’t want it to be in the genre of horror.” In fact, I have heard that some Bernie Sanders supporters are loving the film – gee, I wonder why?

I asked Dinesh about the aforementioned Hillary interview. Here’s what he told me: “What an exercise in pathological deception.” I couldn’t say it better myself.
