Esri to Host Symposium

Redlands-based Esri, a global leader in geographic information system technology, will host a public safety conference Monday in Denver.

The one-day event will highlight the latest developments in GIS, a software and computer system that captures, stores and displays data related to the earth’s surface, according to a statement.

Garry Briese, executive director of the Colorado State Fire Chiefs, will deliver the keynote address. He will discuss how GIS technology helps improve safety and planning response efforts.

Also, experts from Esri – including Christopher McIntosh, the company’s director of public safety solutions – will show how public safety agencies are using real-time intelligence and situational awareness tools to improve their performance, according the statement.
