Palm Springs will participate in the annual Nine Cities Blood Drive Challenge.
The event, scheduled for July 19, will be held from noon to 6 p.m. at the Palm Springs Unified School District Teachers Association Building, 180 N. Luring Dr., according to a statement.
Walk-ins are accepted, but appointments are preferred. They can be made by calling 1-800-879-4484 or by visiting www.Lstream.org.
All donors must be at least 15 years and in good health.
All donations go to LifeStream Blood Bank, which gets blood and other products to Coachella Valley hospitals. All blood collected in the nine cities will remain in the Coachella Valley, according to the statement.,
