Vernice Armour, the first African American female combat pilot in the history of the United States, will be the featured speaker at Ontario’s 2018 State of the City event.
Armour, nicknamed “FlyGirl,” will speak to the assembly of business and community leaders about making bold decisions that will help improve their various organizations, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Ontario officials will also discuss recent improvements made to residential and commercial neighborhoods, park upgrades and give updates on future developments and plans for the city, according to the statement.
