Walter Brauer, a veteran commercial real estate broker, has joined CBRE Ontario.
Brauer, formerly of Marcus & Millichap, will be a vice president and a member of the office’s Capital Markets Self-Storage Team, according to a statement.
“Walter has a deep understanding of this sector with more than a decade of experience under his belt,” said Nick Walker, head of the self-storage team, in the statement. “He comes to us with an extensive network. He will be a great addition to our team and the firm.”
A commercial real estate broker for more than 25 years, Brauer has helped sell several large self-storage facilities, including a 46-property portfolio that changed hands for $146 million.
Brauer graduated from Indiana University, where he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music. He performed with the Boston Symphony, Boston Pops and Boston Ballet Orchestra before he entered the real estate profession in 2008, according to the statement.
