Arrowhead Regional Medical Center has been awarded the 2025 Quality Leader Award for Population Health by the California Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems, and the California Health Care Safety Net Institute.
The award recognizes Arrowhead Regional’s efforts to cut the spread of communicable diseases, an effort it undertook with the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, according to a statement on the county’s website.
“This award reflects what’s possible when hospital and public health teams work side by side,” said Andrew Goldfrach, Arrowhead Regional’s chief executive officer, in the statement. “This achievement belongs to the physicians, nurses, investigators and support teams from Arrowhead Regional and Public Health whose collaboration and dedication drove this work forward.”
Arrowhead Regional is a 465-bed teaching hospital owned and operated by San Bernardino County. It is located on a 70-acre campus in Colton and provides more than 40 outpatient specialty care services, according to the medical center’s website.
