Dr. Guillermo Valenzuela has been given the Hospital Association of Southern California’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Valenzuela, chair of the women’s health department at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, was recognized for his philanthropy and years of work improving maternal care in the Inland Empire, according to a statement on San Bernardino County’s website.
“Dr. Valenzuela’s contributions have enhanced the quality of care provided by Arrowhead Regional’s women’s health program,” said Andrew Goldfrach, the medical center’s chief executive officer, in the statement. “This national recognition reflects how our maternity care teams’ work leads to better health outcomes for families in our region.”
Valenzuela is board-certified in maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and is president of the San Bernardino County Medical Society, according to the statement.
