Corona building is future home of private school

A freestanding building in Corona will be home to a Montessori School.

The structure, at 4180 Green River Road, was bought for $2.8 million by an Inland Empire investor who wished to remain anonymous, according to Progressive Real Estate Partners in Rancho Cucamonga.

The seller was an Orange County investor whose name also was not released. Progressive negotiated the sale.

The 8,700-square-foot building was formerly an adult day-care center and, before that, a Kindercare learning center. It’s across the street from Green River Promenade, 120,000-square-foot mixed-use retail center.

The property is in an affluent trade area: almost 645,000 people with average annual household incomes of more than $132,000 live within a 20-minute drive, according to Progressive.
