The Randall W. Lewis Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino has set an ambitious goal for itself: generate $1 billion in economic impact in the Inland Empire by 2028.
The center – recently renamed for the owner of the Lewis Group of Cos. in Upland, one of the largest commercial developers in Southern California – will be reached through a series of initiatives, according to a statement released by the center.
Those initiatives include:
- Leveraging the resource centers operated by the center in San Bernardino, Temecula, and Palm Desert;
- Increasing the educational programs offered by the center;
- Making it easier for aspiring business owners to get start-up capital;
- Promoting innovation and job creation.
“This goal is not just about numbers, it’s about transformation,” said Mike Stull, director of the Lewis Center, in a statement. “By reaching $1 billion in economic impact, we will solidify our region as a thriving hub for business development and a model for the future of entrepreneurship.”
