CVB Financial Corp. has been named one the largest U.S. banks based on deposit franchise.
The Ontario-based financial institution ranked second out of 149 banks and thrifts with total assets of more than $10 billion, according to a statement on CVB Financials’ website.
Deposit franchise measures a bank’s ability to gather deposits at below-market interest rates by providing safety, liquidity, and banking services to customers.
CVB Financial, the holding company of Citizens Business Bank, ranked first for average non-interest-bearing deposits to total deposits.
In 2024, CVB Financial Corp. was ranked by S&P Global as one of the best performing U.S. public banks with assets of $10 billion or more, according to the statement.
S&P Global provides financial data, analytics, and research to financial institutions, corporations, and universities.
