Inland region added jobs in November

The Inland Empire recorded 5.4 percent unemployment in November, adding 18,400 non-agricultural jobs month-over-month, according to a report.

California’s jobless rate during the next-to-last month of 2025 was also 5.4 percent, the state Employment Development Department reported.

Both the local and state jobless numbers were unadjusted, meaning they don’t take into account seasonal fluctuations, like holiday hiring or school schedules, that typically affect the job market.

In the Inland region, trade, transportation, and utilities added 16,000 jobs between October and November, the most of any sector. Most of the jobs -10,200- were in transportation and warehousing.

Government increased by 2,600 jobs, with local government accounting for 18,000 of those hirings. Construction dropped the most jobs, losing 2,600. Three other sectors lost jobs: manufacturing (-800), other services (-300) and mining and logging (-100).

Between November 2024 and November 2025, non-farm employment in Riverside and San Bernardino counties increased by 4,000 jobs, up 0.2 percent. Agricultural employment fell by 1,600 jobs, a 0.5 percent decline during that time, the development department reported.
