Local fireworks company likes Independence Day

An Inland Empire fireworks display company is preparing for a busy Fourth of July.

Pyro Spectaculars in Rialto is scheduled to produce 326 fireworks shows nationwide in honor of the country’s 250th anniversary, the largest production in its 47-year history, according to a company statement.

The shows will include the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks in New York, Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota and the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

“America’s 250th birthday is a once-in-a-generation moment, and we are honored to help the entire nation celebrate it in the sky,” said Michael Ingram, president of Pyro Spectaculars, in the statement. “Producing 326 shows from coast to coast is an extraordinary undertaking. There is no greater privilege than telling the story of America’s independence through the art of fireworks.”

Pyro Spectaculars past productions include the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, the 2006 Summer Olympics in Athens, several Super Bowls and multiple concerts and sporting events, according to the statement.
