Bob Miller, a member of Cal State San Bernardino’s public administration faculty, has been named the 2025 Outstanding Educator by the Inland Empire Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration.
Miller received the award last month at the chapter’s annual Scholarship and Service Awards Banquet, held at the Victoria Club in Riverside, according to a statement on Cal State San Bernardino’s website.
The award “honors a local academic who demonstrates exceptional commitment to public service education, scholarly achievement, and student mentorship within the Inland Empire,” the statement reads.
Miller was recognized for his leadership classroom instruction, leadership and his support of student development and civic engagement.
Miller has been police chief at Cal San Bernardino and Colton. He is currently a Yucaipa city council member.
