MSJC gets its accreditation renewed

Mt. San Jacinto College will remain accredited for at least the next seven years.

The community college recently had its academic standing reaffirmed by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, according to a school statement.

The commission examined a self-evaluation report conducted by the school, and then visited the campus. Its final evaluation commended the college for meeting, and exceeding, all eligibility requirements and accreditation standards.

“The reaffirmation of our accreditation is more than a milestone,” said Roger Schultz, San Jacinto College’s superintendent and president, in the statement. “I could not be prouder of our team. This success belongs to every member of our college community, and it fuels our commitment to transforming learners, communities, and lives.”

Mt. San Jacinto College serves about 30,000 students a year. It has branch campuses in Menifee Valley, Temecula Valley, and San Gorgonio Pass.

Its next review will start in the fall of 2031 and be concluded with an on-campus visit in the spring of 2032, according to the statement.
