A record number of passengers are expected to pass through Ontario International Airport during the upcoming holiday travel season.
Airport officials are predicting that more than 362,000 travelers will use the airport during that time, a 2.2 percent year-over-year increase and the most during the holiday travel season in the airport’s history, according to a statement on the airport’s website.
The holiday travel season will begin Dec. 18 and end Jan. 4, 2026. The days with the largest passenger counts are expected on Dec. 21 (22,804), Dec. 19 (22,352) and Dec. 28 (22,167).
“We’re excited to welcome hundreds of thousands of travelers to Ontario International during the winter holiday season,” said Atif Elkadi, chief executive officer of the Ontario International Airport Authority in a statement.
More than 465,000 seats on 2,808 flights will be available at Ontario International during the holiday shopping season, according to the statement.
