Patterson listed among top chief nurses

Leah Patterson, chief nursing officer at Riverside University Health System – Medical Center, has been included on Becker’s Hospital Review “CNOs to know” list for 2025.

Patterson is one of 274 chief nursing officers nationwide recognized by the publication, according to a statement on Riverside County’s website.

Those listed “are at the forefront of the profession, tackling staffing challenges, overseeing budgets, and creating pathways for the growth and development of emerging nurses,” according to Becker’s.

Patterson is in charge of 2,100 registered nurses and clinical support staff. Her duties include making sure regulatory standards are met, and leading efforts to improve patient outcomes, according to the statement.
