Report: IE universities among best in state

Five Inland Empire universities are among the top institutions of higher learning in California by U.S. News & World Report. 

UC Riverside (14), Cal State San Bernardino (25), University of Redlands (44), Cal Baptist University (61) and Loma Linda University (104) are among the state’s 128 best universities for the current fiscal year, according to the magazine.

Stanford, California Institute of Technology, UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC, UC Santa Barbara, UC Irvine, UC San Diego UC Davis and Pepperdine University make up the top 10.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings eagerly awaited by U.S. colleges and universities throughout the United States and are frequently used to attract students and help with fundraising.

Public and private institutions  are rated based on multiple factors, including graduation and retention rates, social mobility graduation rates and faculty resources
