Morongo Casino Resort & Spa has reached sponsorship agreements with two of the Inland Empire’s minor league baseball teams.
The resort is the presenting sponsor of the Ontario Tower Buzzers and the field sponsor at Epicenter Stadium, home of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, according to a statement released by the resort in Cabazon.
The field at Epicenter Stadium will be called Morongo Field at the Epicenter. The presenting sponsorship with the Tower Buzzers’ means the resort’s name may appear with the the team’s logo, or any event associated with the team.
Morongo Resort & Spa is owned and operated by the Morongo Band of Mission Indians.
“Baseball is America’s pastime because of its power to bring people together,” said Charles Martin, Morongo tribal chairman, in the statement, “We are thrilled to join with the Ontario Tower Buzzers and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes to celebrate this tradition while creating new opportunities for families across the Inland Empire to enjoy the excitement of the game.
Financial terms of both agreements were not disclosed.
The Tower Buzzers and the Quakes are Single-A affiliates of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Angels, respectively.
