Riverside County hospital to expand

Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar will open a seven-story tower in March.

The seven-story structure will expand the medical facility’s supply of licensed acute care beds from 120 to 202, according to a statement on the hospital’s website.

Cost of the expansion was not disclosed, and an exact opening date was not announced.

The 217,440-square-foot tower is being added to help the hospital deal with the growing demand for medical services in southwest Riverside County.

Inpatient and outpatient staff will be moved to the new building.

Services there will include emergency care, cardiac catheterization, occupational therapy, outpatient treatment, physical therapy, radiological treatment, nuclear medicine, respiratory care, and social services, according to the statement.

Inland Valley Hospital is one of 13 hospitals and medical clinics operated by Temecula-based Southwest Healthcare. It employs more than 7,000 healthcare providers, according to the company’s website.
