Riverside County reports increase in assessed property values

Riverside County’s taxable properties rise

Riverside County’s taxable properties increased in 2025, a trend generally considered to be a sign of a healthy economy.

The county’s 2026 assessment role totaled $484 billion, a 5.2 percent increase from the previous year, according to a statement on the county’s website.

Released July 21, the assessment roll is the record of taxable property values in Riverside County as of Jan. 1 of this year. It includes more than one million assessments of residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and business personal property.

“The annual assessment roll represents the culmination of extensive valuation and assessment work completed throughout Riverside County,” said Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder Peter Aldana in the statement. “Every assessment matters to property owners and the public agencies that rely on this information.”

The assessment roll determines how much property tax revenue is delivered to schools, local governments, and special districts that provide services to county residents, according to the statement.
