Roger W. Schultz has been named superintendent/president emeritus of the Mt. San Jacinto Community College District.
Schultz has served the district for 25 years, including 18 years as superintendent/president, before retiring in June, according to a district statement.
The district’s board of directors approved Schultz’s emeritus designation Aug. 13.
“Dr. Schultz’s leadership has left a mark on Mt. San Jacinto College and the communities we serve,” said Tom Ashley, board president, in the statement. “The title of superintendent/president emeritus recognizes not only his years of service but his leadership and commitment to our students and this institution.”
During his time in office, Schultz helped develop the Temecula Valley campus, and continued investment in the San Jacinto and Menifee Valley campuses, according to the statement.
