Stater Bros. has reopened its Twentynine Palms supermarket following a remodeling.
The store at 71727 Twentynine Palms Highway has been fitted with a more modern facade, and its interior has sushi and fresh-fruit stations, according to a statement released by the San Bernardino-based supermarket chain.
It also provides ready-to-eat meals including burritos, sandwiches, salads and fried chicken. A 66-foot flagpole has been installed in front of the store, and its floor and check stands have been upgraded.
A grand opening ceremony is scheduled to be held July 23.
“We modernized this store so that the area’s residents can enjoy the same amenities and benefits they would receive in our newer stores,” said Pete Van Helden, Stater Bros.’ chairman and chief executive officer, in the statement.
To mark the reopening, Stater Bros. will donate $5,000 each to four charities: Mil-Tree, the USO Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms, the Morongo Basin Station Sheriff’s Citizens on Patrol, and the San Bernardino County Fire Benevolent Foundation.
