UC Riverside has been ranked among the top national universities in the United States by a major national publication.
U.S. News & World Report, well-known for its annual assessments of colleges and universities in various categories, ranked UC Riverside 83rd on its 2022 list of national universities for overall performance.
UC Riverside tied with nine other institutions of higher learning for the 83rd spot: Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey, Texas Christian University, University of Iowa, Binghamton University in New York, Colorado School of Mines, Elon University in North Carolina, Howard University in Washington, D.C, Marquette University in Wisconsin and Michigan State University.
Rankings are based on a number of categories, including graduation and retention rates, alumni donations, faculty resources, social mobility and undergraduate academic reputation. No other Inland Empire university made the list, which included 392 schools.
