Amanda Ward has been appointed to the California Emergency Medical Services Commission.
A Yucaipa resident, Ward has been associate dean of public safety at Crafton Hills College for the past year, according to a statement on Gov. Gavin Newsom’s state-operated website.
Ward was an emergency medical technician and a paramedic at American Medical Response from 2002 to 2015, and she is a member of the California Emergency Medical Services Educators Association.
Ward earned a master’s degree in education from University of Phoenix, and bachelor’s degree in public safety and emergency management from Grand Canyon University.
Her seat on the medical services commission does not require Senate confirmation, and there is no compensation, according to the statement.
