Wright to lead Fire Department in the Coachella Valley

Cody Wright has been named West Desert Director Chief of the Riverside County Fire Department.

Wright began his professional firefighting career with CAL FIRE in 2008, when he was assigned to the Riverside Unit as a Firefighter II Paramedic, according to a statement released by Indian Wells.

Indian Wells is one of the Coachella Valley cities Wright will oversee in his new position.

Over the next 13 years, Wright move up to Engineer Paramedic, Fire Captain B, Administrative Captain and Battalion Chief.

Wright serves as a Finance Section Chief on the RVC All-Hazards Type 3 Team and is a qualified Division and Strike Team Leader. He has also been given the State Fire Marshal Chief officer designation, according to the statement.
