Walmart has reopened its Jurupa Valley store following a renovation.
The Walmart Neighborhood Market at 8844 Limonite Ave. held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Dec. 19 attended by local residents, dignitaries and store employees, according to a statement.
The upgrades include:
- New floor fixtures, and updated signs;
- Expanded online pickup and delivery area;
- Larger product selection upgraded checkout areas;
- Upgraded restrooms and pharmacy.
Cost of the improvements was not disclosed.
“Our Jurupa Valley Neighborhood Market feels completely renewed with these upgrades, and we’re excited for our customers to experience the difference,” said Mario Alvarado, store manager, in the statement. “The updated layout, expanded services, and improved checkout areas will help reduce wait times and make every shopping trip faster and easier.”
Grants were presented to three nonprofits: $1,500 each to the local chapters of Adopt-A- Family and the American Cancer Society, and $1,115 to the Jurupa Valley Citizens Patrol, a community watch organization that assists local law enforcement, according to the statement.
