Rialto Walmart is back in business

A Walmart in Rialto reopened April 10 following a remodel.

The 40,000-square-foot store at 300 W. Base Line underwent several enhancements, including wider aisles, upgrades to its pharmacy and online delivery and pick-up service, and installation of signs, LED lighting and fixtures, according to a statement.

“Our team worked hard, and we’re excited for these improvements throughout the store to help create a smoother shopping experience” said store manager Larry Meza. “We are proud to continue being part of this community and supporting local organizations that make such a difference in our community.”

Meza and several local dignitaries, including Mayor Joe Baca, Police Chief Mark Kling, and Fire Chief Christopher Jensen attended a ribbon-cutting and opening ceremony.

Walmart donated $5,000 to local charities: $2,000 to The Way World Outreach, and $1,000 each to the Rialto Police and Fire departments, and the Rialto First Assembly of God, according to the statement.

The store opened in 2013. Walmart has a second Rialto market at 1366 S. Riverside Ave.
