March was another strong month for Ontario International Airport.
574,819 air travelers passed through the turnstiles last month, a 2.7 percent year-over-year increase, and the fourth consecutive month the airport’s traffic count has gone up, according to a statement on the airport’s website.
Domestic and international travelers totaled 514,777 and 60,042, respectively. International traffic was up 55.2 percent year-over-year.
During the first three months of 2026, Ontario International served more than 1.5 million passengers, 4.1 percent more than the first quarter in 2025. Domestic passenger volume was essentially unchanged at 1.3 million, while international travelers totaled 181,854, a 58.4 percent increase.
Freight traffic – cargo and mail – totaled 75,193 tons, an 11.6 percent compared with March, 2026. During the first quarter, Ontario International handled 208,562 tons of freight, a 9.2 percent increase, according the statement.
