Victorville’s unsheltered homeless population fell 68 percent during the past two years, while its total homeless population dropped 28 percent in that time, according to the 2026 San Bernardino County Point-In-Time Count.
The High Desert city’s overall homeless count, which includes unsheltered persons and individuals living in shelters, is 441, down from 448 in 2025 and 611 in 2024, according to the PIT count, which was released earlier this month.
Victorville’s overall homeless count is the lowest it’s been since 2020.
“The steep decline in Victorville’s homelessness is a direct result of our strategy prioritizing transitional housing, healthcare, and street outreach through our Victorville Wellness Center that opened in December 2023,” said Victorville Mayor Liz Becerra in a statement. “We are gratified to see our Wellness Center be so impactful in such a short time.”
